so recently I have been in the mood to make money a lot of you might also be in the mood to make some money or maybe you need money .

so I figured I'd do like a mini series on my channel if this video goes well of basically like ways that teenagers or young adults or anyone can make money if you know you have to focus on school or something else and sort of make extra cash as a side thing so this morning .

I woke up and I remembered about this website called red bubble it's basically a website where you can sell your art or buy stickers buy mugs t-shirts hoodies you name it with like little designs on it so I was like why haven't .
How do I sell on Etsy as a teen?



I tried that because I'm pretty into art I'm into photography so today I'm going to be trying that out for you guys and if it goes well then maybe you'll want to try it out too so without further ado let's just go ahead and test out red bubble alright.

 so I'm just gonna be screen recording what I do so that you guys can sort of follow along with what I'm seeing on here so here is basically the homepage - the red bubble website that's their logo and then you can see all their different categories of things that they sell and so here's basically like designs that they've picked for you .

that you might be interested in purchasing and if you scroll down there's a colonist s shop and that's where it says sell your art .

so that's what we're interested in right now so it brings you to this page which is basically like marketed towards independent artists like us even if you're not an artist you don't happen to be an artist to do this sometimes stickers and such can be super simple like two triangles next to each other or something and people will still buy it .

so don't get discouraged if you're not super gonna art because there's always a way to figure out someone might want and that art isn't always very complicated so let's see it says it's free to get started here are the products that they can make.

 if you submit one of your designs it says your art will always belong to you but do not be fooled this is kind of sketchy if you actually read it the property rights and license you're basically you're granting RedBubble obviously like royalty free rights to your image so they're going to use I'm no expert on like legal terms and what this actually means.

 so I'm just not going to be uploading any artwork that I actually want to keep forever I'm just gonna be uploading stuff that I don't really care about and if I just make it specifically for here so do be careful with agreements all the time because they can be kind of difficult to understand so just make sure you know what you're getting into then alright here they have their pricing system where they basically tell you how much money.

 you're gonna earn every time someone buys your work then here are the steps so you basically upload or create something and then they handle everything which is why I think this is a very convenient website for artists cuz it doesn't take that much time you just upload their work they take care of the rest you're helping them they're helping you ,

so obviously you're not gonna make very big money unless this unless one of your artworks like blows up but you know you're not gonna make a living off of this but it's going to help you some extra cash okay so I just finished making the banner and choosing a avatar as they call it as the profile picture so I literally just put my youtube channel banner because I don't really feel the need to make a nice one right now and then here is just a random picture that.

 I put as an avatar so the last thing I need to do before I can actually sell my work is it says I needs to complete the payment details so I'm gonna fill in my information and we'll see what's next so I just set up my account in terms of payments and also I forgot to tell you guys it says in the agreement that you have to be at least 16 years of age to create an account .

so if you're younger than 16 I mean obviously you can still do it but just get your parents permission and do it with your parents so they're aware I was going on and you're not putting in random information to random places alright so here we have the product pricing so it basically says how much they charge for everything and your margin is basically what your I'm not too sure how this works yet but I will try to figure it out .

okay it says add your first work apparently you can also add a first post I'm not too sure what that is but let's just see how to add work so it says upload to all products or coffees work so I guess I need to upload alright so pretty simple you just choose an image from your documents upload it and then that's what is gonna be so I am going to draw something I'm gonna make a piece of original artwork to have as my first sale so.

 so I'll just show you how I do that so what I wanted to do for my first artwork is this little Scandinavian Christmas know I can't see it like those little things I saw one in store I saw one at a store yesterday and I thought it was the most normal thing I've ever seen so in Christmas spirit I just did this little pencil sketch you can't even see it there you go I'm gonna now go over it and sharpie and once it is a sharpie .

I'm gonna upload it to Photoshop play around with colors fill it in make it all nice and digital and then I'm going to upload it and hopefully it'll make a really cool sticker shirt whatever people want to buy I just traced my sketch some of the lines aren't as nice and perfect as I wanted them to be.


 so I'm gonna just take a picture of this with my phone upload it on to Photoshop and make it an actual artwork  all right.

 so I just made this little-known thing I did it super quickly it only took like 20 minutes from start to finish if you guys want I can do a tutorial on how to actually create stuff like this on Photoshop super easily you don't even need a Photoshop to do this but anyways .

I am going to now export this as a PNG so it is transparent hopefully I'm thinking I might do like multiple color variations of this and just use the same design for a little stickers all right so here's our know it's transparent when you export on the PNG so it's already ready to turn into a sticker I believe okay weird so let's just upload oh look at it oh that's so cool sticker I actually really want damn pillows and phone wallets and laptop sleeves.

 I actually might use this just to make some things for me this is so cool now this parts always the hard part coming up with titles and stuff so I'll be right back once.

 I come up with all of that okay so I just finished filling out the title tags and description it recommends that you use 15 relevant tags for each upload and so basically on the product previous you can choose how you want the product to be aligned and you can also enable or disable certain products that you want it to be sold on so stickers obviously it's just normal size let's take this phone case for example because .

it's not fitting on it very well let's just move it like so you can see it changing right away on there Center it a little and there we go so line changes you know it looks like a really nice phone case I would actually get that it's kind of adorable hardcover journals that's disabled.

 whatever I'll make it smaller it that one side there's actually really fun I'm really having a blast right now okay save work oh is this oh you can also check that it's a drawing I'll just actually wait let's say it's digital art and a drawing all right.

 I think that's all we need to fill out Oh also let's see default view in your shop those in the image anybody can view it it is not mature content unless you consider Isis Oh dark unless you consider a known to be something other than it actually is and I actually don't know if I need to check this I'm actually not too sure what it means but it's just so exciting he's done there we go it's under a recently added how adorable okay well .

I got a - imma be back later I'll update you guys if anything interesting happens and maybe I'll upload a few more things I don't know I'm kind of running late to go somewhere but after that I might do some updates okay guys so it's actually a week later from when I first filmed the video so just as an update.

 I sold like one or two of the little gnome stickers so obviously like no profit but the website itself is really nice and easy to use .

so I think I'm gonna continue uploading more artwork and then I'll do another Article updating you guys on when it actually takes off and I'll give you more tips then but for now I hope you like the process of sort of learning with me.
